First Coast Opera will hold auditions for singers on Saturday, November 21, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Auditions will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Memorial Presbyterian Church, 36 Sevilla Street in Saint Augustine.
Singers are sought for a fully-staged, professional production of Offenbach’s operetta La Vie Parisienne, which will be sung in French, with new English dialogue, and performed at Lewis Auditorium on the campus of Flagler College on January 9, 2016. Singers of all levels for all roles and chorus are encouraged to audition. Singers are also sought for future projects.
Auditioners should be prepared to sing one or two selections. A pianist will be provided. Singers must provide sheet music for the pianist. There is no cost to audition.
To schedule an audition time, contact Curtis Tucker, Artistic Director, at ctuckermusic@gmail.com. Singers not scheduled in advance will be heard on a space-available basis. Singers who cannot attend the auditions, but wishing to be considered for La Vie Parisienne, may submit photo, resumé, and either audio/video files or links to online sources.
Some roles may be filled outside of these auditions.
