2023 Junior ROWITA Fellowship

The deadline for the 2023 Junior ROWITA Fellowship application is January 31, 2023 by 5 PM.  Applications will be accepted beginning December 1, 2022.

The Junior ROWITA Fellowship was created in 2011 by Joy D’Elia, the Cultural Council's  former Program Coordinator, to recognize and support graduating high school women.

Three $500 Junior ROWITA Fellowships  are available in the Spring of each year, with awards for performing, literary, and visual artists. Candidates must submit the application with a letter of recommendation from their arts instructor and samples of their work.  A grade point average of 3.0 or above is required, and the fellowship must be used for educational expenses - such as college tuition or an advanced summer institute or workshop - or to support the purchase of a musical instrument.

Applications are reviewed by a panel including past ROWITA recipients with awards announced during the month of March.

Junior ROWITA Fellowships are funded through the support of individual donors. To contribute to the Junior ROWITA program, please visit our donation page.
